Comprehensive Intrusion Protection

Security systems require regularly scheduled inspection and maintenance, just like fire and life safety systems. A system that isn't properly maintained provides a false sense of security — which is worse than no security at all.

Pulsar designs layered alarm solutions that combine perimeter protection, interior detection, and instant notification. Every system is backed by professional monitoring with average response times measured in seconds, not minutes.

FAQ

Alarm Systems: FAQ

How does 24/7 alarm monitoring work?

Your alarm panel sends a signal to a UL-listed central station the moment a sensor is triggered, and an operator there is on it immediately, every hour of every day. The operator verifies the alarm — usually by calling the property and the contacts on your account — and dispatches police, fire, or medical services if it is not a false alarm. The signal path is supervised, so the central station also sees it if the panel loses power or communication rather than assuming silence means everything is fine.

What happens when the alarm goes off?

The siren sounds at the property, the panel transmits the alarm to the central station, and an operator begins verification within seconds. You and your listed contacts are called so a genuine accidental trip can be cancelled with your passcode; if the alarm is not cancelled, or nobody answers, the operator dispatches the appropriate emergency service to the address. The event and everything the operator did is logged, and you can see it in your account history afterward.

Can I control my alarm system from my phone?

Yes — systems are set up with a mobile app that arms and disarms the system, shows current status, and sends a push notification when something happens. You can also check whether a door was left open, let someone in remotely, and view live or recorded video if cameras are part of the system. The app supplements the keypad rather than replacing it, so the system still works normally if your phone is unavailable.

Will the system still work during a power or internet outage?

Yes. The control panel carries a backup battery that keeps it running through a power outage, and alarm signals reach the central station over a cellular connection rather than depending on your broadband. If the primary communication path fails, the central station sees the loss of supervision and can notify you.
